Display of surface

 

 The series "Display of Surface" is a device to sense and reveal the surfaces of a different dimension from what we see every day. This is indicative of what I sometimes call "invisible-visible" paintings, or the work for which I took fingerprints and traces; It isn't much unlike a criminal investigation.
This series questions our daily perception and how we’re connecting with our environment / world.

《Display of Surface》シリーズは、鑑識官ようにモノに付着した指紋や接触の痕跡を採取する作品や、視覚として見えないまま手でイメージを追うように描く絵画など、普段の私たちが認識する視覚世界とは異なった次元で表面を表出し、見えない表面を意識させる作品。自身の認識と世界との関係について問いかけています。
